This was a good experience. As an American in Rosarito I needed a good honest English-speaking electrician to drill holes in safe areas of the walls of my house, and I found Jonathan on Craigslist. What a relief to locate a great electrician and handyman speaking immaculate American English (he's from the United States)! He was punctual, cordial, polite, professional, friendly and experienced. Boy did he know his job. Very skilled electrician, and with all the correct, up to date gear including the right boots, grounding bracelets, gloves, drill bits, the works.

He arrived on time exactly when he said he would and was conscientious, fast, and a bargain. What a contrast to the unpleasant local types I was almost stupid enough to commission. Now my walls are no longer bare and have the framed art I chose upon them. My house looks like a home. I'm glad I did it the safe way. Do it the safe way, too: don't bring an unlicensed, shady, non-English speaking, and possibly dishonest amateur electrician into your house to perform electrical tasks. If your "cheaper choice" makes a mistake with electricity it could cost him his life and put you in Mexican prison! DON'T CUT CORNERS! HIRE JONATHAN. He gets it right the first time, and I'd tell anyone that.

Do not hire Morbes. Horrific work. No professionalism. Had to pay them for the “work” they did. To say they have no craft is an understatement. I honestly could have done their work myself. Child like sloppy. Huge bright orange tubes running through my house to hook up to circuits. And they charge America rates “because it’s American work”. Their quote, not mine.

We bought a condo at the beach here in Rosarito and it was just the guts and John came in and identified all my wires in one day!
The next day the fun started he installed all my power outlets, light switches, put up ceiling lights, put up remote control ceiling fans, installed hanging lights. Put 220V outlets for my washer and dryer, stove, water heater. Installed my over the oven microwave, put up power outlets for my dishwasher and garbage disposal. Everything brand new!
He did everything and what wasn’t right or didn’t work he fixed it!

Our experience with Jon was fantastic. He helped us with adding additional outlets for our entertainment system requirements and even repaired/painted the drywall in multiple locations. He also rewired and installed multiple outdoor patio fans for us. I remember being outside with him while he was working on our fans, and I mentioned to him that what I saw with the metal conduit, looked fine. Jon turned to me and said he didn’t like it. He said he was going to redo it because he “treats it as if it’s his own house”. I was taken back at that moment. He made the change and the conduit did in fact look better the way he wanted it. Jon is extremely respectful, knowledgeable and well mannered. You WILL be very happy with the quality of his work, his professionalism and genuine personality. You will be excited when referring him to friends and family as well! Jon rocks!
