El Pato Barbacoa y Mixiotes

Muy rica la barbacoa, y excelente atencion. Agregaria q tengan stevia para el cafe. Y que no usen unicel para servir el cafe.

Te lo recomiendo. No te arrepentiras te lo prometo ademas un.lugar muy agradanle Excelente servicio de primera la Barbacoa, y los mixiotes una delicia. Los Sabados no te pierdas su menudo y las quesadillas de cesos todo es riquisimo

La atención y servicio increíbles, el precio dentro de lo normal, el sabor de todo exquisito, limpio y además hay postre. Solo faltaría un bien baño y piso firme.

Es uno de esos sitios que te salvan el apetito. Ofrecen barbacoa y mixiotes, con un sabor increíble. Está cerca de la central de autobuses y hay estacionamiento. Si bien, es un lugar muy rústico, la atención y servicio es muy bueno. Creo que el éxito que tienen se debe a que los dueños lo atienden y por tal motivo te sientes en casa. No les doy las 5 estrellas debido a que en ocasiones el piso que es de tierra, levanta polvo y te hace sentir incómodo. Deberían invertir en el local y seguramente tendrán más éxito.

Deliciosa barbacoa de borrego y los mixiotes de lo mejor que he probado. Execelente atención por parte de la propietaria. Recomendado para cualquier dia.

Lamb cooked in an underground container for 10 hours, covered in Maguey leaves. Barbacoa is usually served in the morning and is recommended as a hang over remedy.
The lady of the family who runs this soft sided establishment is wonderfully welcoming. When she realized we were new to barbacoa customs she said to not bother with the menu, she would bring us what we should try. The meal began with a large bowl of lamb consomme then great tortillas and the stewed lamb meat. Fantastically good!
Check for open hours as they close by early afternoon.
Apparently this is a favorite family outing as the parking lot was filled with big family cars

Delicioso lugar. La clave: pedir mixote y barbacoa, su caldo y combinar todo. Si se quedan con hambre, pueden rellenar pidiendo por taco.

Esta muy buena la barbacoa, nada grasosa, ademas muy atentos y los precios van acorde a lo que venden (y eso es raro en San Miguel de Allende), solo hay un pequeñisimo detalle, y es que las salsas no pican nada, aunque no saben nada mal, tal vez sea por que en San Miguel de Allende hay mucho turista que no come picante, pero no dejen de lado a los paisanos jejeje

Si quieres comer rica Barbacoa en SMA esto es el lugar correcto!

This place is exactly what I needed when I wanted to get away from the more touristic parts of San Miguel. Just outside the Centro area, it feels (and, more importantly, TASTES) authentic. The barbaquoa (slow cooked lamb) is incredible — the best taco I have ever had I think (and I eat a lot of tacos). Very simple with 3 ingredients, but full of flavour. And Pilar, one of the owners, is incredibly sweet, helpful and speaks great English. I came for breakfast after being warned that they can sell out of barbacoa as early as 1pm. Can’t recommend enough!

Authentically Mexican, the food is AWESOME. Pilar and her husband Jose-Louis are great people. We love the place.

A must if you're in SMA! Amazing consome & barbacoa! Lamb was seasoned and cooked perfectly. You can tell the food was made with love. The owners were enthusiastic and the service was excellent.

Great family run restaurant. The husband is the chef and his wife runs the place. She recommended the consome, barbacoa and mixiote-so we tried them all. It was the perfect amount for the two of us. Service was friendly and cheerful. Bathrooms very clean.
