La Vie en Rose

La repostería es deliciosa, el lugar es muy agradable y bonito, tiene un estilo un tanto romántico, ideal para una cita pero también para asistir en familia. Nos encantó la repostería, la música francesa, el ambiente, el servicio. Incluso nos calentaron lo que elegimos; un pudding y roles de canela, parecía recién salido del horno todo. Sólo no le doy las cinco estrellas porque a nosotros y a varias personas nos ocurrió que subimos al segundo piso a elegir mesa y resulta que la repostería se pide desde el primer piso. Ellos te la llevan, desde luego, pero creo que podrían solucionar eso poniendo una carta de repostería adicional en el menú o un anuncio más visible, no sé, porque si uno no se fija en el anuncio que está al inicio de la escalera del primer piso, se sube pensando que la repostería viene incluida en el menú y no es así. Vimos varias personas que también tuvieron qué bajar a seleccionar la repostería porque se fueron con la finta de que encontrarían los postres en el menú y es que es complicado ver el anuncio sobre todo si es primera vez que vas, porque entras y más bien admiras todo lo que hay en el lugar. Pero en general me parece un excelente lugar, los precios son promedio y no sólo ofrecen repostería, sino otras opciones; ensaladas, carnes, pescado, etc.

El lugar es muy agradable, el menú es pequeño pero variado y de buen gusto y sabor, los precios razonables y los postres son deliciosos

Bello lugar con muy bonita ambientación, la carta de alimentos es un poco reducida, pero lo que ofrecen es rico. Lo mejor, sus postres. No hay venta de vinos o licores.

After getting coffee and pastries to go yesterday, I couldn’t wait to return for a sit down breakfast with my whole family. It did not disappoint. Everything was perfect: the atmosphere, the service, the hot chocolate and coffee, the food. Every detail of the restaurant is well thought out: each decoration, each piece of food on the plate perfectly placed. We even asked for something special for our youngest son and they plated it beautifully. We would return in a heartbeat!

Algo pasó con este lugar. La primera vez que asistí me pareció excelente en café y postres. Hoy lo visito de nuevo y debo decir que el pastel de chocolate no es muy bueno y el frappé no tenía sabor. La verdad me decepcionó.

La vie en rose is such a cute cafe.like, it’s stupid cute.the environment alone is worth going, but the pastries themselves are also bomb af.i sat at a little table by an open window and looked out onto the colorful buildings that make up guanajuato.if you like taking photos of your food and posting them on instagram.come here.the location is basically dead middle in the historic center.the shop occupies several stories and there are sooo many cute seating areas as you walk up the center stairs.the interior is some mix between traditional Persian café, rustic coffee shop, and bright minimalism.so far as i can tell, most of the seating is not handicap accessible, but there are a few seats on the first floor and that is also where the pastry cases are!

the pastry selection is wide and very french.they had fresh fruit tarts (looked amazing) and a lot of bready pastries like croissants, etc.they also have savory options.i was leaning toward the strawberry tart but the employee suggested the chocolate tart.i also got a lemon tea.the tea is served in a clear glass steeping pot with a ceramic tea cup and saucer.i just ordered the tea, not specifically a tea pot, so i assume that’s how all their tea comes! It was a nice surprise.the tea wasn’t exceptional, but it was good loose leaf.this is a pastry shop tho.the chocolate tart was rich and flavorful! If you like chocolate, and lots of it, you’ll like the chocolate tart.if you don’t like chocolate.you’ll hate it, don’t order it (big duh). It was denser than a mousse and very creamy and dark.it had a pastry crust and was served with a very cute lil rose petal on top.i highly highly recommend going when in guanajuato! Go!

Le plus grand probleme de cet endroih c'est le traffic sur lequel les fenêtres donnent. Transformer cette rue dans une rue pietonale serait vraiment bon.

The best place ever. Every desert is delicious in a different way and the onwer is always looking for comments from the clients (he's from Normandy France). I never go to Guanajuato without visiting the place and trying a new thing. In addition, the place is beautiful from the inside.
