48Don’t waste your time or money. Boring atmosphere, staff seemed very inexperienced, food was bland, margaritas weren’t even good. Ordered queso and chips for appetizer, we even showed her a pic of what we wanted, waitress brought just chips after the main meal arrived and said they don’t have queso. Seriously? My wife ordered soup then literally two minutes later wanted to change to an entree and was told she couldn’t because it was already in process. Pretty sure they could have stopped a bowl of soup for a beaf burrito! Soup wasn’t even good when it came. I ordered the steak which wasn’t horrible but very undercooked along with potatoes that were just meh. Overall just a terrible Guanajuato dining experience.
We made a reservation, but when we came we were told that there is no table for us. So we were left without dinner. When we left we got an email that our reservation is cancelled. Very bad experience.
It was the worst experience. We had a reservation for 7 PM, and my food was served at 9: 20 PM. We were a large group and was ignored after we got water and drinks. By 8: 30 I said I wanted to cancel my order as i don't eat dinner that late. They said the food was almost ready and wouldn't let me cancel. 50 minutes later they finally brought my dish which was sea bass. The fish was NOT a filet, it was a steak cut including bones and skin. I needed a steak knife to cut the fish because it was so tough. I imagine they froze the fish and thawed it too late for it to be that tough. Had it not been for a group dinner I would have left long time ago, but because it was a group thing I had to stay. Very sad experience. Our group was very sad. The owner or the manager never came to us to apologize or even make an excuse. I'd definitely avoid that place in the future. Not recommending the place at all
We had a reservation and we were denied entrance because they don’t have room. Very bad experience and we are now left without dinner.
Delicioso! The best of Guanajuato’s fresh ingredients scattered all over the menu …. The corn and shrimp soup was creamy with bites of delicious succulent fresh shrimp to add flavor and texture. The Pork Chop with salsa roja was from another dimension- thick, juicy, and tender laid over caramelized onions and a grilled round of pineapple for that bit of sweetness. Also the bread was fresh and warmed from the Casa Rector best bakery in town - in the style of SF sourdough and absolutely delicious. Move over SF and NYC restaurants… Guanajuato’s on the map… btw if you speak Canadian - lol- the owner will reminisce with you since he has been here in Mexico serving food with love for over 10 years
Delicioso!
Great place for a quiet dinner overlooking the city skyline. Creative dishes with a original twist on the classic Mexican dishes.
Excelente s instalaciones.
Posiblemente no regresaría.
*servicio lento y algo disperso
Eduardo is a fantastic waiter, the food is quite good and the second floor is the place to be to enjoy soothing cello music.
This is hands down the best food in Guanajuato. We had the guacamole and calamari starters, and the steak, shrimp, and chicken mains. Cleaned our plates it was so incredibly delicious. We had the creme brule, chocolate bomb, and Panna Cota for dessert. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Excellent wine, beer, and cocktail menus as well.
The new Los Campos on Sopena is a true delight! The space is very large on two floors and I did not need to reserve on a Sunday night. Ambience is great, staff were attentive, and food was delicious. I had the Filet de Res (cooked medium rare to perfection) and Mousse de Chocolate. Highly recommended.
