Me decepcionó mucho, las carnes estaban mal cocidas, al pollo le faltaba cocción y a las costillas les sobraba, demasiada mostaza en todos los platillos

Todo increíble: la comida exquisita, el sitio encantador, el ambiente acogedor, la ubicación excelente.salvo el servicio, lento y descuidado. Aún así, muy muy recomendable tanto por la calidad de la comida y la selección de mezcales.

Just excellent. Fantastic ambiance, excellent food, friendly (English-speaking) staff. Metate’s deal for the buffet is incredible! I highly recommend the guacamole.

Margaritas had no salt and seemed watered down. After two hours more than half of our party had no food. The food that did come was mostly cold. After two hours we paid for our drinks and left. Very disappointing after having so many wonderful meals in Guanajuato.

Asistimos para una presentación del duo de boleroglam "Daniel, me estás matando", y todo estuvo genial. En lo que al lugar se refiere tiene una buena vista de la ciudad y a juzgar por los platillos que se preparaban todo se veía muy rico. Nosotros solo probamos la margarita de fresa y el mezcal preparado que lleva naranja, toronja y mezcal de espadin. Totalmente recomendable

Great view. Originally attempted to eat at Los Campos at 8 pm but we needed a reservation. The maitre'd recommended the owners other restaurant. When we arrived we were the only party. 4 other parties eventually showed up. We had the porkchop and chicken. Both were good but not amazing.

The tacos are spectacular and the cocktails are unique and delicious. The perfect stop after a day at the Alhóndigas. Quiet atmosphere, comfortable environment.

Por cumplir un año, este lugar tiene un gran potencial, es muy pequeño, pero de buen gusto, carta breve, con tacos fusión gourmet, tragos, vinos de mesa que maridan bien con la comida y unas pocas cervezas artesanales y otras de las comunes. Precios módicos. Venden un chamorro muy bien presentado que cuando lo sirven le encajan una varita de romero encendida, que despide brevemenre un humo como con un dejo de copal; como si te restaurante por elegir ese plato para compartir, que cuesta 150 pesos

Un endroit légèrement en retrait de la partie touristique mais un détour nécessaire si vous souhaitez être très gentiment et patiement accueillis.et incontournable si vous envisagez de découvrir d'autres saveurs que les traditionnelles galettes. Comme quoi on peut faire très très bien pour des tarifs raisonnables. Bravo.

We had a wonderful dinner at Los Campos (sister restaurant) and were hoping for great things at Metate. The tacos were very good. The plantains were tasty too. The guacamole was, well, regular guacamole. The nopales tempura dish was bland and needed more of a dipping sauce or something. Cocktails were fine, but the selection is limited as this is more of a Mezcal place.

A ‘must go to’ in Guanajuato. Amazing food, so well priced, great service. Would have gone back every night if we had found it sooner.

I can't say enough about how good the food is. Three of us shared the fried calamari tacos, chickpeas and roasted pork shank with caramelized onion. There was so much calamari on the taco you could barely fold it. The aioli was delicious. The chickpeas are addictive. Just the right amount of heat and lime. The pork shank is Flintstone sized and enough for three to share. Along with some tempura nopales and two drinks each our bill came to 600 pesos. If you're a mexcal fan, this is the place to go in the city. An extensive selection of locally sourced mexcals. Any complaints? Nope.
