Daiquiri Dick's

Recommended by fellow guests at the Pinnacle who know the owner. Fantastic view, food, service! Great addition to the list of must see restaurants for future PV visits!

I ordered the Tamahawk Pork Chop as my main course. When it was presented, it looked very appetizing, however once I cut into it, it was completely raw inside. Not pink, but rather red and not edible.

After 10 minutes the waiter realized that I was waiting for someone to tend to my table. He realized how raw the food was and apologized and returned the food to the kitchen. 30 minutes later I was presented with the same dish, but this time it was burnt to a crisp. When he served it to me, he knew it wasn’t acceptable. I tried the food, however it was not edible.

20 minutes later a different server presented themselves and apologized for how the food was burnt. I then changed my order to the Hollywood Salad, which was hardly acceptable. I finished my dinner and after 30 minutes a server removed my plate but never asked how the food was.

When leaving the restaurant I asked to speak to the manager, who was certainly not qualified to properly run a restaurant. When I provided him with my feedback, his answer was that he knew the food wasn’t good, but didn’t want to disturb me and discuss my experience.

I informed him that I would be writing this review, as a courtesy.

As a resident of PV, this was certainly the worst dining experience I’ve had.

After an odd initial menu when the reimagined DD's reopened under new management, we were delighted last week to discover that they have now brought back their much-missed classic eggs Benedict, which I and many others consider the best in Vallarta. The scene on the beach in the early morning is still beguiling. Staying nearby, we ate breakfast here 4 times in 2 weeks. Service is excellent. Drinks are pricey.

You're paying for the view, so if you're rich and middle-aged, you'll prob love it. It was the worst food, worst service, and most expensive outing I've had since being in PV. The beach vendors will be at your table more than your server, which got to be quite annoying while waiting for food that took ages to come. Quite disappointing for such a fancy expensive place. Looks beautiful, but a $35 daquiri? Boo. 10/10 would not go again.

Perfect beachfront dining experience. Everything was delicious. Marvelously crafted cocktails. Tremendous, friendly staff.

3 of us enjoyed our lunch at Daiquiri Dick’s. My mango basil margarita was refreshing. My partner and I shared the Daiquiri Dick’s chicken salad, which was perfect for the 2 of us. And my friend enjoyed her fish tacos. Nice view of the bay, not too noisy. Would go again.

Don’t be fooled by the silly name. This place has great food and drinks and a very trendy decor! I would say it’s well worth a stop when you are in PV!

Beautiful setting on the beach and clean, awesome restaurant with great atmosphere and music. The employees were also wonderful, welcoming and friendly. The food was amazing! Recommend the mango daiquiri but beware it comes with a take-home mug that you pay extra for, unbeknownst to us! Overall, amazing experience here!

While this place has been a fixture on the Malecon for years the recent refresh has been amazing. Easily the best beach side food, outstanding service and unbeatable location. The food was exquisite and artfully presented. The Sopes Benedict were a clever interpretation using local Sopes and chorizo with a slightly smokey Hollandaise. The Short Rib Skillet was tender and delicious. Many Vegan options and dogs welcome on the patio. Great place for us locals to take out of town guests.

Really nice restaurant. Service staff was friendly and attentive, Louis Joya took good care of us. Beautiful location right on the beach. Food was flavourful and the menu was nice and concise.

They have opened a few months ago since they were closed since the COVID Pandemic. Reporting in December 2022. The structural and artistic updating was excellent. Live music was soft and nice.

The Cadillac Margarita had too much tequila in it. The lamb shank tasted good. My colleagues noted that they had removed the famous fish on a stick from the menu. The fish for the day was not appetizing.

The familiar experienced waiters were gone. The younger ones now available were courteous and spoke English and efficient. The old DD we knew was always full and difficult to get a seat. We find that only about 15% of the tables were occupied.

Perhaps the charge of 200 Peso per person for cancelling a reservation kept people away. They said they had free WiFi but you have to give your contact info to get it. Do they sell our contact info? We declined the free WiFi.

Cost 700 Peso per person. How long will DD last?

Four of us went for dinner & all of us were delighted with all aspects. This is an upscale experience but a shared appetizer, main courses, wine and after dinner drinks only came in around $3000 pesos and was well worth it. Sea bass, pasta, and scallops were all outstanding. The service is first rate as is the atmosphere. A relaxing, enjoyable evening with great food. They have hit their stride in all areas providing a great dining experience.

A MUST dine location. The food is to die for, staff is amazing and the hostess (Bista) is not only beautiful, she is extremely helpful and always greets you with a smile.

HIGHLY recommend the corn chowder. Signature daiquiri's are amazing - recommend the mango with basil.). Short ribs are the BEST in Vallarta. I had another location that I loved for short ribs; however, DD are far better. Must try!)

The remodel of this place is fantastic. Beautiful bar and outdoor dining area with a great view of the ocean. The sunset is breathtaking.
Now the food, my wife is gluten-free they had great options for her, a cauliflower steak with asparagus. And a gluten-free flour-less chocolate cake. I had the blackened salmon with risotto and key lime pie. Everything had great flavor.
Our new favorite place to eat on the beach in Puerto Vallarta.

Good service and very clean. We’ve been coming here for many years and enjoy the food and view.

The pork chop was the best I have ever eaten in my 67 years. A memory I won't forget. Thank you.
