GDL Rent a Car

Picked us up from the airport and helped with our luggage; about a 10 min wait due to traffic. Every time I called the office they were very professional and helpful. Very upfront about the cost, no hidden fees or additional insurance costs. Once we returned the car, they also took us back to the airport and helped with luggage. We rented a Volkswagen Vento and it was very gas efficient.

So happy I found this place. Please don’t let one negative review make you look elsewhere trust me. I’m big on reviews and this place is hands down the best place to rent a car from. They are very accommodating and so very helpful. I had to extend my stay by a couple days and Edgar worked with me with no problems whatsoever. They don’t push insurance or other “hidden fees” the quote you get is exactly that no surprises when you return your rental. Thank you so much Edgar for making this an easy and wonderful experience. Update: I like how the company has apologized profusely, but somehow spin it around like it was my fault for reserving a vehicle on CHRISTMAS DAY as to why they couldnt book me. This is why I inquired back in APRIL. I do feel like this is deserving of a one star rating, if I could I would rate Zero stars. They were great until they weren't. Been working with Edgar since April 2021 to make sure I was all reserved for my trip later in December. I even received a quote. Come to find out this morning that they do not have any vehicles. He mentioned that he couldn't schedule me because of no availability. I really did like this company, but will be taking all of my business elsewhere from now since they cannot do something as simple as reserve a vehicle for you 8 months in advance.

I currently rented a Jetta from them, and I want to make sure the owner knows that the girl that attend me went out of her way by providing excellent customer service. There prices are really good and definitely no hidden cost like the other places. I highly recommend this agency!

This is by far the best experience I have had with a rental car company. First off let me start by saying that we have never been to Mexico and was concerned about all the hidden fees that everyone talks about. Edgar assured me that the price he quoted me was the all in price. And yes when we turned the vehicle in that quoted price is what we were charged! We were picked up at airport (had a perfect vehicle for almost a month) and was taken back when done with our trip. If you are any near Guadalajara and need a rental don't think twice about renting from Edgar. Very kind, professional and honest. We had a small issue with our vehicle and they quickly fixed our issue, they even offered to take us another vehicle for our peace of mind. Alejandra Hernandez was very helpful and with great customer service skills, she explained the whole process and our options in a very professional manner. I will definitely be back here on my next trip to Mexico. P. S.they will pick you up and drop you off the airport, which is only like 5 mins away from their office.

Rentamos un van por 18 dias y tuvimos un pequeño inconveniente con el vehiculo pero esta empresa rapido se ofrecio a llevarnos otro vehiculo a nuestro destino.aun que no fue necesario pero su eficiencia en contestar y solucionar cualquier problema o duda fue imprecionante. Alejandra Hernandez fue con la que hable desde el principio y fue muy profecional, amable y respondio todas mis dudas y preguntas. Definitivamente regresare a este lugar en mi proximo viaje a Mexico

Muy buena compañía para rentar carro en Guadalajara, de todas las compañías que he rentado esta ha sido la más fácil y sin trucos de precios, te ofrecen los seguros como es, sin esconderte nada, sin tanto papeleo y sin complicaciones, y el personal, está para servirte en todo momento.

So.we have been doing business with GDL for about 3 years now. We rented a car in March/April 2020 and I haven't had a chance to write a review because of the pandemic. Edgar is amazing. He always goes above and beyond for his customers. I trust him 100%. Very knowledgeable. Patient. Kind. We have a family with 3 small kids and he always makes arrangements to accommodate us. This is the first time we rented a car in Mexico. We went back and forth on whether we should take a chance due to all of the mixed reviews regarding service, cost, swindling and Mexican car insurance fears. We wanted to have freedom to be able to roam and see our families who are located in different places without being dependent on others so we took the chance and are super happy that we did!

This was a great experience and we will do it again. From Benito meeting us at the airport, to the two young ladies who assisted us upon checking in and checking out to Edgar answering ALL of my questions (and I do mean ALL) and providing a massive amount of re-assurance that all would be ok.

Our experience was great! We were told the price with ALL costs included and that is exactly what it was, less the foreign transaction fee which has nothing to do with them.

Thanks to the whole team at GDL! We will be back!

First time renting a car from this company, I had a great experience, I called in advance to make a reservation and they upgraded my car for the same price because they didn’t have available one i reserved, I paid what the told me the first time, I highly recommend this place if you need to rent a car, Alejandra and the other girl were friendly and their customer service was excellent.
