I went here last week for a hair colouring service. Jorge did my hair. I got my roots touched up. It wasn’t easy to communicate what I wanted as I did so in English with another staff communicating it to Jorge for me, but I ended up getting VERY close to what I was looking for! Which is great, because only my regular stylist gets it right. After putting the colour in my hair it was at first very brassy, which is normal of my hair when it is first coloured a couple of shades lighter, so they put in a toner to neutralize it. After that it was still slightly brassy but some purple shampoo has made it almost perfect. So I am happy with it.

Really my only complaint would be that I was quoted 900pesos for a root touch up but because they needed a toner to make the colour what I was asking for (no one wants orange hair), they added 350pesos onto that without telling me first. That’s a total of 1250 pesos plus a 200 peso tip which is a actually a lot in Canadian dollars. Especially since they also wanted cash and the ATMs around there give a horrible exchange rate and fees (along with my bank at home charging me a fee) so this ended up about $90+ plus tip, more than many places at home for a root job. (NO haircut or style included). There were no visible signs with prices posted.

They definitely know how to do hair here but be prepared to pay at-home prices and be sure to ask if there are any other possible fees involved in hair colour service.

The salon is lovely and so is the colourist. But in my humble opinion the price was outrageous. After I paid (and nearly fainted) I returned two days later to question the price-1000 pesos more than last year. Something about using a product to protect my hair. I never asked for it. I didn’t get it last year and my hair was great. Plus after the fact I was shown a price list on the counter. Hmmm. How many people check a price list if you’re already familiar with the price? I will not return.
