Nada que ver el hotel con las fotos. Muy incómodas las habitaciones. Pésimo los terminados del hotel, súper mala calidad. Las regaderas no están cubrirás. El cuarto está rodeado de una red y cualquier animal se puede meter. Demasiado ecofriendly.

Qué pedazo de paraíso absoluto. Impresionante ubicación para la playa, personal excepcional (tuvimos problemas con la reserva y lo resolvieron al instante), sala de ventilación tipo invernadero con características únicas, vistas de ensueño al mar y a la montaña para despertarse. Altamente recomendado

Una hermosa ubicación para un hotel verdaderamente medicre, en el mejor de los casos. El servicio es prácticamente inexistente. Pedimos ayuda con la caja fuerte. No tenían idea de cómo operarlo. Queríamos almorzar junto a la piscina. Tomaron el pedido y luego nos dijeron que no podíamos consumir la comida junto a la piscina. Queríamos leche con café durante el desayuno. Nos cobraron extra por una pequeña cantidad de leche. Las habitaciones son extremadamente incómodas. Las luces junto a la cama son tan débiles que ni siquiera puedes leer en la cama. No se puede ver la televisión porque no hay televisores en las habitaciones. No puedes conectarte porque no hay WiFi en las habitaciones. WiFi está solo en un pequeño rincón del patio, cerca de las largas mesas que supuestamente son los restaurantes del hotel. Nos acercamos a Casa San Pancho con gran entusiasmo en base a la información que encontramos en su sitio web. La realidad es muy decepcionante. Instamos a otros visitantes de los EE. UU.a que lo piensen dos veces antes de reservar este hotel que, por cierto, no es barato.

The experience was great, the staff is super friendly and nice. The hotel is a place to disconnect and to feel surrounded by beautiful nature with an ocean view. Absolutely incredible, I am definitely going back.

While visiting friends who were staying at the hotel, I was instantly disturbed when I noticed large foul smelling puddles everywhere in the street to the side of the property where I parked. My friends also noticed this. Overall, they were really disappointed with their stay, but I will let them complete the details with their own review. I asked some people in town about the puddles that never dried out even though there was no rain at all during our time in San Pancho. They told me that the hotel has a really bad sewage problem. Hopefully, unsuspecting guests and the town doesn't continue to suffer from the hotels negligence to deal with its sewage system in a way that doesn't mean sewage overflowing into the street.

Mientras visitaba a unos amigos que se alojaban en el hotel, me inquieté al instante al notar grandes charcos malolientes por todas partes en la calle al lado de la propiedad donde aparqué. Mis amigos también lo notaron. En general, estaban muy decepcionados con su estancia, pero voy a dejar que ellos completen los detalles con su propia revisión. Le pregunté a algunas personas en la ciudad acerca de los charcos que nunca se secó a pesar de que no había lluvia en absoluto durante nuestro tiempo en San Pancho. Me dijeron que el hotel tiene un problema muy grave de alcantarillado. Esperemos que los huéspedes desprevenidos y el pueblo no sigan sufriendo por la negligencia del hotel para manejar su sistema de alcantarillado de una manera que no signifique el desbordamiento de aguas residuales en la calle.

Para nada recomiendo este hotel, lo tienen en pésimas condiciones, las áreas comunes muy sucias y descuidadas, los baños del área de restaurante bastante sucios y sin suministros, fueron una pesadilla las noches con los moscos, sus mosquiteros todos rotos y en mal estado, el baño de la recámara tampoco servía y no te brindan la atención necesaria para solucionarlo. Bastante costoso para lo poco que ofrecen. Para nada lo recomiendo, absolutamente nada que ver con sus fotos… la alberca como hielo y sucia.

¡Lo pasé de maravilla en Maraica!

Todo el personal aquí es increíblemente amable y simpático e hizo que nuestra estancia fuera muy agradable.

Nuestra habitación era relajante y tenía una hermosa vista del océano (pagamos un poco más por la habitación de lujo y pensamos que valía la pena)

Hay una gran piscina y muchas áreas para sentarse y descansar.

La comida fue lo más destacado de nuestra estancia en Maraica. Todo lo que comí estaba delicioso y a un precio razonable.

Está justo enfrente de una parte tranquila y relajada de la playa de San Pancho. Personalmente, disfruté caminando hasta la playa para llegar a la ciudad, en lugar de tomar la carretera.

Amazing retreat experience in a lush beautiful location with excellent food and hospitality.

I have mixed feelings about the Maraica. I really wanted to love it. The setting is beautiful, the pool is nice and its lovely hearing the waves crash on the beach. The cleaning and restaurant staff are really nice and the food is good. The hotel is less than a block from a beautiful, quiet section of beach, but know that they do not have beach chairs or umbrellas and there are none for rent on that section of beach.

The rooms are a nice minimalist esthetic with nice soaps, bedding and towels. There is no AC, but we did not find it necessary in February. The thing you should know about the rooms is that they are all connected to one another, and though the ceilings are high, there is an opening between each room separated by a mosquito net. This means that if your neighbor comes in late at night and turns on their light, light will stream into your room. If they talk, you will hear them.

For us this meant that even though our neighbors were trying to be quiet, we could hear them talking at 1am, and heard their alarm at 6: 30am. It also meant that we were constantly shushing out kids so that they wouldn’t bother our neighbors.

Our room had was a gorgeous view of the ocean; however, my parents’ room, which was supposed to be deluxe, really wasn’t. It has a view of the parking lot and windows that needed to stay closed because they faced the path where everyone was walking. What made it ‘deluxe’ was a chair in the corner that my mother used to hold her suitcase, instead of the daybed / lounge chair shown in pictures. The room was also much smaller than what was shown online.

My biggest complaint about the hotel is that they closed the restaurant for dinner without informing the hotel guests.
I was traveling with two small children, and wanted to eat in on the night that we arrived after a day travel and the night we were leaving. I even emailed on the Thursday before arriving to confirm that the restaurant would be open and that I wouldn’t need reservations. They told me that it opens at 6: 30 and I wouldn’t need a reservation. I was surprised to arrive Friday - the following day - to learn that it would be closed for the weekend. They assured me it would be open at 6: 30 on our last night, but when we went to the restaurant, it was closed for a retreat they were hosting and we were told we could only eat later, at 8pm (too late for us with little kids). So we had to scramble at the last minute to make alternate dinner plans. This issue could have been so easily prevented with the tiniest bit of effort on their part.

I believe that the restaurant was closed because they were hosting a yoga retreat.
I think this place would be perfect for retreats- when you have someone else managing your meals and communication with the management, when you are likely grouped in one end of the resort with other people who are on similar schedules who won’t wake you up, and - most importantly - when you get a steep discount on rooms.

For everyone else, this place is a little overpriced for the level of comfort and service that they provide.

La atención de todas las personas que trabajan en el hotel es maravillosa, hacen que tu paso por él se sienta como si estuvieras en casa. Es un lugar hermoso lleno de paz y con unas vistas preciosas. Si estás en San Pancho, Nayarit, debes hospedarte ahí sin duda.

Bueno supongo que es un buen eco hotel si no tienes problema por el calor extremo ya que no cuenta con aire acondicionado el servicio de internet sólo es en el área de restaurante y no es muy bueno obviamente no hay televisión y a la menor provocación se va la luz una sola alberca pequeña y bueno está a unos 100 o 120 mts de la playa y el precio bueno casi todo San Pancho no es muy economico

I booked Maraica Eco Hotel to lead a 7 day yoga retreat over New Year's, and I was really impressed by the hospitality, management, food, and venue. I really felt the welcome, care, and good energy from the whole staff. A big thank you goes to Miguel and Vera in the kitchen for their extra effort whenever I needed something.

The owner Fernanda was truly incredible to work with. Putting on a retreat is very detail-oriented with many logistics involved. She was so organized, efficient, reliable, communicative, and supportive from start to end. In my 8 years of leading retreats, this truly stands out.

I loved my room- spacious, outstanding ocean view, and with a Zen-Mexican feel to it. The menu that was prepared for my retreat accommodated vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free dietary needs. It's gourmet, so this takes time.and it's worth every delicious bite. Some of our favorites were: avocado toast with homemade bread and poached eggs for breakfast, ceviche for lunch, lentil cake for dinner, and signature guacamole for anytime!

Our yoga and meditation classes were held on the terrace overlooking the ocean. The sunset views were stunning and the uncrowded beach was a short 2 minute walk away, right where baby turtles are released into the water every night.

The guests loved the massages and surf lessons booked by the hotel.

The venue is about a 10 minute walk into San Pancho town, and I consider this especially ideal for yoga retreat. It's easy to get to the Tuesday farmer's market, or a visit to Paraiso Cafe for a latte, but far enough away to feel that you are away from 'busyness' or distractions.

Lugar para descansar y desconectarte del mundo, la comida está súper rica y el lugar pareciera que estás en medio de la jungla por sus exuberantes plantas, algo que no fue del agrado es que no tengan aire acondicionado, los ventiladores no ayudan para nada y es molesto no poder dormir por el ruido. Además de que mínimo deberían poner una cafetera pero en fin.

Buen servicio. Excepto que no son tolerantes con bebidas que traes del exterior, te llaman la atención por no hacer consumo de su bar. Para tomarlo en cuenta

The staff was not friendly at all. They were not accepting day pass and didn’t say anything about the restaurant, a friend recommended me this place for the day pass. Maybe just trying to explain would’ve been nice. They gave no reason and not even said hi or welcome us.

Estuve 2 noches en las cuales pude observar y vivir lo siguiente.

1. Nunca me pude meter a la alberca que literal es una pileta de agua fría. Se pueden poner calentadores solares para calentar el agua.
2. El agua de la regadera nunca estuvo caliente aunado al clima frío que me tocó y a la falta de puerta en la ducha.
3. El omelette de verduras insípido.
4. Efectivamente no hay aislamiento acústico entre habitaciones y escuchas todo lo que dice el de la lado.
5. No hay nicho o jaboneras en la regadera y por lo tanto al alcanzar un frasco de jabón se me rompió y me lo cobraron.
6. No hay servicio al cuarto ni por ser día del amor y la amistad.

El hotel es bello por las áreas comunes vegetadas y la hermosa vista al mar, además de su cercanía. Pero por el precio y porque son vacaciones esperas pasarla bien sin penurias, para eso pagas un hotel así, no una cabaña en la selva. Pero con la falta de atención en tantos detalles deja mucho que desear.

Muy bonito lugar y agradable maravilloso agradables personas y mucha amabilidad buen trato excelente comida muy buena vista hacia la playa

Si lo que buscas es olvidarte de todo en un lugar mágico, esta.no es tu opción!

Pro: playa caminando a 1 minuto
Contras:
1) El lugar es bonito, pero por el precio se queda muy corto.
2) El restaurante carece de prácticamente TODOS los alimentos que ofrece.
3) Todas las noches en el hotel con el que se comparte la barda, hay fiesta hasta las 6 o 7 am, que puede escucharse en todo el hotel y más en las habitaciones que tienen vista de frente al mar (las de mayor costo)
4) El desayuno continental que es una burla, El cocktail de fruta fácilmente cabe en una cuchara sopera y los molletes son del tamaño de dos meñiques (literal).
