29This place is adorable. Great selection of wine from Mexico and SoCal, along with a strong selection of mezcal and tequila. You can drink on site as well. They sell flights and wine. Stop in for a gift of wine, agave spirits or chocolate or cigars. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly.
Excelent wine shop, great wines, great service. I would definitely go back for another bottle.
FANTASTICO! Everything is so well curated - you’ll find the best wines Mexico has to offer. Just ask for a recommendation and they’ll find the perfect thing for you. Great vibes, amazing presentation. The Mezcal tasting is spectacular as well…served with grasshoppers! Can’t recommend this place enough!
The shop is a perfect spot for a late afternoon flight of whatever you fancy. Mezcal selection is top notch and you can’t find a better selection of wine in Sayulita. The staff works with you to find your tastes and delivers spot on recommendations.
Hit it! Did a mezcal tasting experience here and it was one of the highlights of our trip. So many incredible options to choose from.
Much much more than just a wine store, these guys are super knowledgable about all things 'tequila' and a great source for info on local culture. A must visit if you need a little libation!
Headed over there for a special bottle of wine for a friend's birthday! Calixto is a master and wonderful host! An encyclopedia of knowledge and passionate involvement as a great chef and sommelier! Bravo!
Visiting Sayulita from SF and absolutely loved the wine shop! Very knowledgeable staff will introduce you to Mexican wines and mescal. They are super friendly and even let us borrow glasses so we could enjoy our wine in the beach.
Don’t miss the wine tasting/live music events Wednesdays!
We did the mezcal tasting and it was truly excellent. Our host was super knowledgeable, friendly, and walked us through the culture and history behind the spirit as we tasted. 10/10 would highly recommend the experience. Their wine, chocolate, and mezcal selection is outstanding.
Awesome place with a wonderful Mezcal Tasting experience. The host was so knowledgeable and a ton of fun. We were bummed we missed the wine tasting and are looking forward to trying it next time we're back in Sayulita.
Found this little shop through an Airbnb experience for mezcal tasting and it did not disappoint! The sommelier is full of so much historical information on mezcal and tequila. We learned so much and left with a deeper appreciation for the both. The shop itself is adorable and full of many local spirits and wines.
The one and only true wine shop in Sayulita. Wednesday night tastings with live music is a treat where you can enjoy the local wines and very special tequilas. There is also some amazing collectibles like flasks and knives and an incredible jewelry line by a local artisan artists. We bought one of everything and many glasses of wine. All good down to the last drop.
It was a wonderful experience to learn about the history and origin of Mezcal in México. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and taught us how to properly enjoy the clear spirit. I would definitely visit this shop again. Great selection of spirits and wine, as well.
Great diverse selection, helpful staff. You'll be surprised at the options for wine produced in Mexico, and they have some decent tequila and mezcal selections too. Not cheap, but not overly expensive either. Certainly the only place to find a lot of these wines in Sayulita.
Had a wonderful mezcal tasting here! All of the mezcals were delicious and we learned some cool new tricks when it comes to tasting alcohols. Story behind mezcal was super interesting as well. Amazing value - the sommelier was so kind, welcoming, and clearly an expert! He taught us a lot! The person on shift there was also incredibly welcoming and attentive to us on arrival. The wine shop itself is beautiful and has a wide selection as well. Great experience!
Went for an amazing mezcal tasting experience. Very knowledgeable, great history lesson, and delicious mezcal. I’m walking away with much more appreciation and knowledge. Thank you!
Isaiah is an amazing wine sommelier and mezcal expert. Super informative tasting with delicious mezcals! We got to dig deep on the history of mezcal and taste a bunch of different varieties. As a bartender of 5 years, I got to hone my knowledge of mezcal and learn new things I didn’t even know about. Wonderful location with lots of other great spots around. But this gem of a place has more to offer than just the tasting. Wines, tequilas, and mezcals from all over. Cheese pairings too! 10/10 would
You have to try the mezcal tasting led by the sommelier!
Wonderful host, great storytelling, and delicious Mezcal. Great way to learn about the history and nuance of the spirit and get to the know a local business. Highly recommend!
Only join if you are interested in learning AND drinking (not just one or the other).
We had a great time at the Sayulita Wine Shop! We went for a Mezcal tasting that was so great. We learned a lot about the Mezcal and the different region of Mexico, and mostly we learned the right way to taste it!
And after all we went back for a wine tasting that was also perfect!
I would recommend to anyone who want something different in Sayulita:)
We had an amazing and informative time at the Mezcal tasting here - not only we were introduced to some great tastings spirits, but the sommelier taught us how to properly taste it too. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Mezcal in Mexico and how it evolved, all the while being very laidback, friendly, and speaking perfect English to us gringos. We will definitely be returning for all the other spirit tastings they have to offer here!
