The perfect little Bodega. Had everything we needed, best place in town for any kind of baking as well. The staff is so helpful for those like me with limited Spanish. Great location in the center of town

They keep the perfectly ripe avocados at the counter. Mama makes salsa y salsa verde todos lunes, miercoles y viernes. They have a wonderful variety of fresh fruits and veggies. Great little corner market.

Was staying in town for a bit and looking for some fresh produce. Found everything I needed and staff were friendly. I enjoyed the homemade salsa in the fridge, comes in a plastic bag, which piqued my interest.

Mario's is the best little grocery store in La Cruz.he stocks all the necessities, always fresh produce and dairy items. You can buy "singles" of most things.i. E.bandaids, mosquito coils etc. Prices are low and the convenience of having a store like this in town is priceless. If he doesn't have something in stock, just ask and he'll get it.

While it's obviously more expensive than the bigger stores I often find the produce a better quality here and it's well stocked. We always get out beer here because he will deliver it to us and save us the hike back with it and at the same time we will add in whatever groceries we have just bought (including fresh tortillas from down the road) and schedule a time so we can have a casual walk home and pick up fish. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful and suggests tequilas and does his best to accommodate what we are looking for. It's very helpful grocery store to have in La Cruz.
