Tuna Blanca

El lugar es muy bonito y agradable, iluminación y música excelente (el músico con la guitarra muy bueno). La tostada de atún lo mejor, bien rellena y sabrosa, la concha de cangrejo hubiera esperado algo más fresco y diferente, el taco de lechón bueno pero no muy bueno, y la hamburguesa dicen que lleva foie pero una cucharadita, sin más. Los macarrons de postre muy buenos. El pan muy bueno. El camarero calvo/pelón que nos tocó muy antipático, parecía que le estuviéramos haciendo un favor a él… relación calidad precio muy mala.

Un sitio increíble, con una energía muy agradable y definitivamente recomendable para quienes buscan un servicio de calidad.

Como asiduos desde hace mucho tiempo al "Café des Artistes" en Puerto Vallarta y Los Cabos, estábamos ansiosos por probar el último emprendimiento de Thierry Blouet en Punta Mita, "Tuna Blanca". Permítanme comenzar con "él no decepciona, e incluso te sorprende". Probamos el menú degustación, que es una visión condensada de la carta, con maridaje de vinos.
La ubicación y el entorno del restaurante recuerdan mucho a Tulum, y ese es el único defecto en la experiencia general, porque el cuidado y la calidad del equipo de Blouet en la cocina y el nivel de servicio que brindan no combinan con el ambiente relajado y al aire libre.estilo de Tulum. Los turistas en pantalones cortos definitivamente estropean el ambiente, pero supongo que es un efecto secundario de ir a Punta Mita.
El menú degustación es siempre excepcional. Varios platos son adaptados del Café des Artistes, pero ejecutados de una manera diferente, que combinan mejor con el nuevo entorno. Hay una explosión de sabores, especialmente en los dos primeros platos. Los platos de pescado y carne son estupendos, aunque quizá demasiado ricos, al igual que el postre, que tuvimos que llevar en la maleta.
El maridaje de vinos también es consistente y favorece los vinos más ligeros, lo cual es una elección inteligente dado el picante y la riqueza de algunos platos. Un par de vinos mexicanos, incluido uno de Thierry, con algunos buenos franceses e italianos. La selección de cócteles se ve excelente y la base de mezcal que probamos fue excelente.

Más allá del menú degustación pudimos ver que el plato popular entre los invitados en pantalones cortos era el flambeado. El teatro siempre funciona con los turistas y el chef Blouet lo sabe bien.

Gran ambiente justo en la playa. El personal fue muy atento y se aseguró de que tuviéramos una gran experiencia y la comida era increíble.

Compré la Short Rib Birria y estaba muy buena. Mi esposa pidió los tacos de panceta de cerdo y dijo que también eran increíbles.

También nos dieron el ceviche del día, que fue un éxito en la mesa.

We had a really bad experience, since the moment we walked in service was rude and poor quality. We were a big table and the manager refused to give us a table outside even though the place was almost empty. Without asking they start serving you bottle water and charge a lot for it… the food was veeeery slow and many dishes were wrong and a few missing, we didn’t receive an apology and the manager just laughed when we complained, I would NEVER return, we really hated the place.

Excellent food, scrumptious and elegant. Beautiful location and friendly service. A bit crowded and waiters serve the entire location so refills water and beverages were a bit slow we had to get others to assist.

We ordered octopus, shrimp, short rib, lobster, and ceaser salad. Ceaser salad was awesome. Shrimp presentation was awesome, but they were overcooked and the sausce with it earthy and grainy. Octopus was wonderful and the sides flavorful. The lobster was a tad overcooked but nice flavor. Things you expect from a lesser restaurant but not one of this caliber. Staff was nice, but again, 4, not 5, star service.

This place is overpriced, the food is not good, and the service takes forever. They overcompensate for bad food with pretty presentation — don’t fall for the pictures.

This place is large with friendly and fast service. We had a large party of 36 people, so we didn't get an opportunity to try the regular menu. The chefs prepared some fresh fish we caught a few hours earlier into ceviche and other methods. Very tasty drinks. Ask about the delicious family recipe coffee recipe they serve with a ladle from a bowl. Beautiful atmosphere, live music, room for dancing the night away.

Beautiful beachfront restaurant, the food was spectacular, the drinks were on point and the bartender Alan was very genuine and inviting with a great smile and you can tell he has a lot of experience behind the bar. Thank you.

Excelente servicio y comida, más una vista preciosa al mar. El servicio y amabilidad en el área de bar a sido el mejor que he tenido en Punta de Mita.

The tuna and taco appetizers are musts. Freshness meets complexity - they were the best tacos we had while in Punta Mita and the tuna melted liked it was just caught.

The short rib was truly spectacular in presentation and dish compliments. Pistachio crusted lamb chops gave us everything we could have hoped for and more.

Alex and our wait staff also ensured we were celebrated from beginning to end, including our dessert of choice presented in a manner unlike what we have ever experienced. Chef truly outdid themselves.

We will be coming back to Punta Mita - and Tuna Blanca is one of the reasons.

Atencion y servicio mucho muy bueno. Carta de vinos amplia pero altos los costos. Platillos no es una carta abundante y me parece que es caro en relación precio-sabor. Ejemplo: pedí un pulpo a las brasas que mas bien se quemó. Pesca del día se ofrece zarandeada y no, solo lleva una salsa pero no es el concepto y la lonja es pequeña en relación costo. Entradas muy bien.

Great location and staff but very typical over-sauced, over-seasoned, over-priced tourist trap food. It is what it is when traveling…enjoy the drinks at least.

Quelle belle atmosphère, plats délicieux, service impeccable de la part de Alex et Alexis personnel très attentif. Les plats sont savoureux et la présentation exquise. Un must à visiter et ce à plusieurs reprises le décor et la nourriture vous enchanterons (dessert sublime)

We tried the Tasters menu option. Every dish was amazing. The service was awesome. Friendly staff. Awesome views to enjoy your meal.

Mostly the food was tasty but nothing special. I had tuna tartare, Caesar salad, mushroom tacos and short rib. Nearly every item on the menu has a presentation gimmick that requires the waiter to spend a few minutes tableside.ie shrimp cooked on hot stones, salad prepared at the table, waiters adding garnishes and sauces. These gimmicks resulted in exceptionally slow service for all of the guests in the restaurant.
