60Best dinner of our life for sure! Really wanted to thank our waiter he was great but forgot his name, it was short name 4 letters I think starts with J.
Absolutely stunning spot to have dinner. Sunset, whales, good seafood, great service. Cocktails were decent. But honestly, you're there for the scenery. Well worth the trip.
Romantic, beautiful, and amazing. The food and the service are outstanding. Highly recommend.
Had a very disappointing dinner here.
Apps and dessert were ok but the mains were very disappointing. The worst was the tuna. We couldn’t eat it. Very stringy and most of it was not edible. The 2 white fish dishes we had, tasted bad because they did not cut the dark parts out of the fillet. The steak was only Ok.
I do not recommend coming here. The view is not worth $800 for 4ppl.
Most intimate, romantic and delicious restaurant in Cabo. We celebrated my husband Steven's birthday there last night and it was impeccable as always. From the service to the food, it is a meal you won't forget.
We will be back next month!
We came here after we found this place recommended by many websites for a fine dining experience close to a Michelin star level but we were disappointed.
I think you come here mainly for the view which is of course best during the day.
Service was good, ambience was ok. There was a couple drunk (loud and rowdy) people tables around us that kinda ruined the night. Food quality was average and nothing spectacular. They lack creativity in flavors and presentation.
We had the most INCREDIBLE experience here the other night. This place was recommended by a friend and it blew us away. Definitely a pricy dinner, but so worth it. You choose your dinner from a menu board of fresh fish and meats of the day and they are served with appetizers over a four course dinner. The restaurant is on the side of a cliff overlooking the ocean and is truly a once in a lifetime experience. Service and everything was also incredible. We will for sure be back!
The location and ambiance is outstanding for a romantic dinner, however they have limited options if you're a vegetarian/vegan. We anyways weren't expecting amazing food here but this is a pricey place, so at the least we were expecting quality with the vegetarian food they made however it was very average/mediocre at best.
I mean, you're eating at the Waldorf Astoria. The views are absolutely beautiful. The ambiance is terrific and the service top notch. Definitely come and check it out, you won't be disappointed.
Ridiculously amazing. The view was stunning. The food was delicious. The champagne bar on the way in was the way to go. I drank some special wines while waiting for our table. The local wine selection was also top notch here. The fish I wish I had photographed before I ate, but was simple and pure
I would not recommend this place to anybody. Crazy prices, average food and service wasn’t that great.
Built into a granite cliff side and over looking the sea, this romantic setting hosts some of the best food in Cabo. Each course was an absolute pleasure to eat. Beautiful plating, wonderful flavors. The service was also amazing. The chocolate tamale and the churro dessert sent us over the edge! What a wonderful dining experience.
Unbelievable view, excellent service and vibe all around. Drinks were okay. Food was good, but not exceptional. We had the shrimp and red snapper. You're really paying for the experience here and it's worth it.
What a very disappointing restaurant that had such great potential to be amazing. The food was disgusting and lacked any sort of artistry for the amount of money they are charging. The cocktails were watery and weak. The dessert tasted like they bought frozen churros from Costco and sprinkled lemon zest on them and called them “homemade”
For such a beautiful view it’s so sad that the food is so bad. We went to Flora Farms the night before and what a HUGE difference. You can tell Flora takes pride in their dishes and gives you a meal that is both versatile and delicious. Never will go back to Farallon!
Have never written a review before but this restaurant was so disappointing that I felt I had to. Service was terrible. We were seated 45 mins after our reservation and while we were waiting the staff was trying to get us to buy minimum $30 drinks. The food was cold and mediocre at best for the price. Each course took forever to come out and the staff never asked if we needed anything. Such a waste of money and time.
El Farallon was a great dining experience! You need to go with the mindset that the restaurant is a culinary experience because it most certainly is expensive. However for the experience and the amount of food (4 courses) served it’s well worth it.
As you sit down your server will bring over a chalkboard with fresh catch of the day and there’s a price associated with each option - keep in mind that is basically the cost of the entree but also includes additional courses (bread, soup, starter, appetizer/salad, entree and finally dessert)
The sea bass was cooked to perfection! And the churros were among my favorites. They also have a decent vegan/vegetarian menu.
Would highly recommend for a treat yourself dinner date or a special occasion!
Yes the view is gorgeous but the service and food are not at all up to the standard. It took 30mins to be seated: constantly transferred from one colleague to the other: 8 people to take care of us…
The seats are not comfortable. The food is more Italian than seafood as stated and is very mediocre.
Would not recommend it.
Was highly disappointed…
Did not meet expectations. After having had a week full of home run dining experiences in Cabo, the hype had really built up the expectations for this place. The entire experience, up until we were seated, also really built up the expectation as well as the difficulty of getting a reservation. The drive into the Pedregal resort, and the waiting area, prior to walking over to the restaurant, was very very nice. The drinks at the waiting area were overpriced, but the drinks were not bad. When we were seated for dinner, the chairs are the worst chairs for the uneven flooring they have. The waiter stumbled all over explaining things to us and lacked confidence. Not even to say it was a language barrier situation because I speak fluent Spanish and the communicated with him in Spanish. They provided me with a vegetarian menu after they had been informed I am vegan. They need to either have a vegan menu or be better prepared to explain modifications from the vegetarian menu for vegans. We were being asked for our food order before having been asked for our drink order. The drink menu is mobile so you need your phone to scan the QR code which seems a bit tacky. My fiancé, who is not vegan, was not provided with a menu explaining his meal options outside of what is presented on the chalk board which only shows the entrée and sides. We were very confused about what else would be brought out for him. The soup was great, the appetizers were great, the entrée and dessert, for both of us, was sadly incredibly underwhelming and nothing special. I had the jackfruit stuffed mushroom. I expected the mushroom to be chargrilled, to create a crunchy/smoky bed for the jackfruit. Instead it was all soggy, mushy and topped with a half of an avocado which just screamed lack of effort and creativity to me. Why not turn the avocado into some type of actual garnish instead of slapping it on top like a lump of laziness? The dessert.mine were three desserts.guava/mezcal panna cotta, which reminded me of a slimy version of a Colombian guava bocadillo, banana cake and peach cobbler-like thing which both lacked cohesion, flavor and moistness. My fiancé's dessert was churros. I thought it was really tacky to serve churros at that type of restaurant. Come on people, put some effort into it and reinvent the churro! I would have been good with the soup, appetizers and the drink which was probably the best part of the meal which was a cucumber spicy type drink and it was big so, it lasted the entire meal, which never happens for us. Needless to say, I could even get through 1/4 of my entree, I didn't even touch my second side (rice noodles?), the potatoes were alright, but seemed to be what I gravitated to the most. 100% not worth the money or effort. I guess people enjoy the view the most, but our reservation was at 9: 30pm so there was no view for us. The audience was, superficial white people that don't know what else to do with their money, but spend it on substandard food. Would not recommend, it is the only part of our trip we regret. They should really do something different after sunset for late reservations who don't get a view and may not necessarily want to eat so much food that late at night, but still want a part of the experience. It just doesn't seem fair at all to expect people to pay the same amount of money if the experience isn't going to be the same, the the staff is tired and ready to go home.
Don't waste your hard earned money!
View and atmosphere is very nice - food horrific
We have been here prior to change of ownership, now it's just terrible. Worst food ever.
I will never come back. Go to Flora Farms
Great food - farm to table.
Beware
Just basic to bad food. Some items were gross
Would have spit it out if I could.
Bridesmaid quality, if you know the movie and Scene.
