Javier's Restaurant at The Cabo Azul Resort

Setting: this was the fine dining at our resort and I think beautifully resigned and decorated. The sunsets are also magnificent and there was live music. You are also very close to the beach, very well designed.

Service: I think the hostess could have been warmer but the servers were friendly and kind. The accuracy of our order and it’s correction could have been handled better. We didn’t want to be pushy but it’s moments like these that remind you why you must.

Food/price: An expensive restaurant that lacks any flavor and is considered Mexican. The nachos and mostly beans that will have you farting up a storm and are creamy like a patei, the fajitas are covered in goo, fried ice cream is covered in a shell that has that plastic flavor but he honey tastes great.

I think I’ve eaten here 4 times since I got here. My family loves the food. The service is good and if you come early it’s quick service.

Great selection of wine and food options. Seafood is fresh. Very flexible to alter your food requests to meet your needs. Management is superb and takes very well care of their customers.

On Wednesday nights Javier’s has a Farm to Table Dinner (which is not very well publicized) during the season—starting usually in the middle of February that we look forward to every year. Tables are surrounded by their garden and the grill and stations where the chefs prepare the food. You cannot go wrong selecting the tasting menu for $45 which is creatively plated, wonderful prepared and a great experience overall.

Very nice experience. Great atmosphere and service. Food very good, but not what I would call great, and not sure worth the price.

The location is excellent, service was outstanding and the food equally so. We were a large group and the waiter was very attentive and all the food arrived on time so that no one was waiting. Nice dining experience.

I was staying in Cabo Azul and came here for breakfast. It was fast and the waiter was attentive. He keeps refilling my coffee to make sure I have everything I need. It was also a decent breakfast too! The price is a what you would expect from a nicer restaurant which is a bit pricer than local places but it wasn’t too bad for the quality you get.

Turn the lights up. So dark! We could barely read the menu. The waiter had a flashlight thankfully. People next to us were using their phone lights to see. One person tripped over a small side table. And a lady I spoke to in the pool the next day commented that she tripped and fell when they'd eaten there a few nights before. Food was generally tasty but you might as well be blindfolded. Not high on my recommendations list. I wouldn't go back.

Great food and staff. Our go to place when we didn't want to leave the resort. Limited menu, so you'll want to venture out some for some variety.

We were staying at another resort and heard from a local person how amazing this restaurant was. It certainly didn't disappoint! We had a house margarita, taquito appetizer, Carintas and the Cabo Azul main course. The lobster enchilada was by far one of the tastiest things I had on our entire trip. I will definitely go to this restaurant again next time we are in San Jose del Cabo.

Our group had 11 people. We ordered everything from Arracherra to lobster and filet. Food was tremendous. Everything was prepared perfectly and was rated as one of the top restaurants we visited

I was blown away by the architecture and the sheer elegance of the venue. I felt like I was on another planet. Unlike most fine dining restaurants within Cabo, the decor is not traditionally Mexican, but is still detailed and luxurious. The place was spotless, the restaurant was right on the beach and the food was phenomenal. Word has it that Sunday brunch is the best in San Jose.

I experienced an Amazing Vegan culinary journey at Javier's. The chefs, waiters and the management of food and beverage went above and beyond to create innovative, flavorful tapas two evenings in a row for me. The presentation of the food was work of art!

Amazing. Beautiful. Delicious. I went for Valentine's day and had an amazing experience with a fire show.

Dang this food was good! We came for dinner one night and I got the rellenos and they were so dang good. Then for breakfast we had chilaquiles which were really good as well. Can be a bit pricey but worth it. The staff was great, very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!

Amazing ocean views on the beach with wonderful ambience. Great quality and variety in their breakfast buffet. Be sure to try their French toast. At dinner time, they have mariachi serenading the guests.

The server was either racist or blind.

We had to show him over and over that the tip was 118 instead of 18.

Had the breakfast buffet it was a good deal. Very attentive staff, nice atmosphere and lots of options to choose from.
