Castillos del Mar

Great wedding reception place, a little pricey though. Rooms have a great view, but older, and had no heating it cooling when I was there. Pool was also out of service. Food in Cafe/ bar was mediocre. But beer was cold. Nice private beach area. Parking can be a challenge during functions or events.

Not what was expected. Even though people are really nice the waiting for check in took 2 hours. Check in is at 3 not at 2pm like it says online. I got there a little before 2pm and the receptionist said to wait until 3pm bc that's when check in is. As it was getting closer to 3 we noticed this other women come in to start her shift. We saw that has people went to the receptionist they would write something down or highlight something. So it's now 3pm and I guess the receptionist that was ending her shift never even marked anybody's name what where here before and waited to the next shift to do the work. Meanwhile, we were oblivious to think that she would do this, once we figured it out we had to wait as people that were just getting there where being checked in even though we had been waiting in the lobby for more than an hour. Everything closes pretty early and the pool is open to the public as long as each car pays $20 to get in. I believe anybody could walk into the resort and just hang out down stairs by the beach and at the resturant. The resturant is the only source of food at the resort, but it closes at 6 or 7pm and it's not that good with not many choices. To top it all off the Penhouse door entrance is made with a huge glass window. Did not feel safe in my own room.

Its a beautiful place, for sure not the best or modern Hotel, but it has everything a big chain Hotel has, its got a pool, a private beach, restaurant, bar, i mean just beautiful. Im not a picky person, i need a place to sleep at the end of the day so im not really looking for 5stars. I got the Penthouse Room, i believe its gotta be the best.

Todos los trabajadores son muy amables y atienden con muy buena actitud, la vista es hermosa fue el mejor fin de semana de mi vida junto con mi pareja.

Este sera mi lugar favorito para pasar el fin de semana, esperó volver pronto.

El único detalle es que hice check-in a las 5pm y aún no estaba lista la habitación, todo lo demás bien.

Deja mucho que desear el lugar, pésimo servicio y las habitaciones ni se diga, una eternidad para poder hacer check in, teniendo tanto potencial pudieran aprovecharlo para invertirle a las instalaciones, mantenimiento, servicio y sobre todo trato y consideración a las personas con discapacidad!

One star and it is just be cause of the location and view it has. Service deserves no stars, the bar lacks cleaning; they make your drinks in plastic cups, and they are overpriced. You get to pay $15dlls for two drinks. Room was clean when we got there, though in the morning we found ants all over the sink. Breakfast is included, yes, although they don't tell you it is a continental breakfast. Fruit was warm, coffee was too strong, and you get your jam from a jar that has spoons already inside.
Don't waste your time and money, and get yourself booked in another location. Period.

Very beautiful views. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. We had our own fan which helped lots since there is no ac. Hotel rooms were very clean. Beds were comfortable. Beach bar was spectacular. Definitely doing again!

Dentro de todo lo malo lo bueno, tiene muy bonita área para convivios, fiestas, de cualquier tipo, aparte de tener una excelente vista al los atardeceres son increíbles, con su propia playa puedes disfrutar de unos bonitos atardeceres, los cuartos están de 3 estrellas son de preferencia como para ir con los amigos, es más un lugar informal para quien no le preocupe lo que lo rodea, el servicio está 2 de 3 no esperen más solo disfrutar de la estancia en la playa que eso paga todo.

Very nice area on the beach, seems very upscale, nicer than the others around it (though you wouldn't be able to tell from the outside), rooms are large, though the wifi was very poor in the rooms, shower was decent, but being able to wake up and go for a stroll on the beach, or take a stroll before bed, was amazing. Definitely recommend.

I only HAD to give this hotel a star to be able to post my review. We arrived to the hotel and the receptionist told us that they tried to "contact us" because our card "did not go through". They apparently like to charge cards before the guest even arrives to their hotel. But they never tried to contact us in ANY way, which is strange considering all the personal information you have to give Expedia. So they sold our room to someone else. We even saw a large list on the receptionists desk with our reservation on it and many other guests who they were leaving on the street. And we have been to many hotels all over Mexico and even the U. S.and never once have they claimed they tried to charge our card before our arrival. So we were left in a different country going from hotel to hotel attempting to find any openings since this was the 4th of July weekend. We made our reservation weeks if not a month in advance so that this would not happen. The location is beautiful, but it is not worth it if they do not care about the guests staying there. I think they kicked out the guests who got deals for their rooms online so they could make more money. BEWARE of this hotel unless you enjoy being left on the curb!

La mejor playa (privada) y vista espectacular en todo rosarito. Habitaciones muy rústicas pero Vale la Pena disfrutar de todo lo demás.

Es un lugar muy bonito, sin embargo, el servicio y la calidad de los alimentos deja mucho que desear.

This hotel is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The sink was full of ants, we let the staff know and they did not solve the problem. Rooms were extremely humid and there was no fan available. Towels had stains on them. The sliding door was broken. Staff was EXTREMELY rude. Horrible stay overall.

I came with my mom after having a stressful year in high school, and we wanted a nice place to stay near the beach and chill out.
Once we came into the room, it smelled a bit fishy, literally, and the smell came from the right mattress. I shouldn’t have put my face into the mattress because it smelled like the combination of fish dumped in hot dog water with mold on it. Thankfully, the staff was nice enough to change our rooms with better bed conditions.
On the other hand, the views here are breathtaking and the sunsets, oof, they are perfect. And the food is really good as well. I would suggest that the staff should really pay attention into what the reviews say, because this hotel has a lot of potential and the room conditions should be better.

Great view of the ocean on any floor. The staff were amazing and the food was spectacular. There’s a bar and a mini restaurant under plus two private beaches to enjoy.

El lugar está excelente sólo no dejan meter comida de fuera si estás en el hotel. Pero aún así se disfruta mucho.

This is a small piece of heven on earth. The rooms are basic but cute. Downs side you can not bring liquer or food. And check in isnt until 3, and chech out is 12 so you really need two days.

Be very careful with the management of castillos Del Mar. Make sure that any documents you sign your sign in front of a notary. In my opinion these are not very good people.
