43We had a wonderful peanut soup and oysters on the half shell plus a couple of really good margaritas.
One of their specials this evening was a prime Roast beef sandwich with horseradish and juice. It came with a half an ear of corn and a coleslaw that was delicious I was a little bit hesitant because I was afraid that the roast beef would not be easy to eat in a big old sandwich. But my fears were unfounded.the roast beef was done to perfection it was pink it was tender and you could bite right through the sandwich. It was absolutely the best roast beef sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. The service was excellent, the house Chardonnay was just fine. I would highly recommend this place.
Chef and owner Izmat trained under Paul Prudhomme, and it shows. From dee- lish blackened catfish to authentic gumbo and jambalaya, get your 'nawlins on at gossips kitchen.
The staff was very attentive. I had one of the specials on the board, a pulled pork sandwich. It was very tasty, although a little too juicy to eat without a fork!
Who would have thought that a Cajun restaurant in Mexico could be so good? I've eaten here a few times and have always been very pleased with my meal and service. The staff are very friendly and the owner has always been on site, happy to strike up conversation. Like most places in Ajijic, English is readily spoken here.
Delicious food! Great atmosphere. Accommodating for vegetarians and vegans. I would highly suggest trying the Moringa tea, African nutsy, and the masala fries! So good.
Waiter was super friendly and attentive! Food was delicious both visits and came quickly. Theres no designated parking, but you can find parking nearby, at the bank next door on sunday.
¡Muchas gracias!
Interesting menu and a different selection of food. I tried the gumbo this time and it was a clear winner. I will be ordering that again.
Very interesting menú, Indian influences, food was good. The room was quite noisy, loud gringos.
Love this place! Totally different then any other restaurant in Ajijic. Delicious food and excellent service!
I've been here twice, beautifully prepared, served and delicious! You really must go if ever you are in Ajijic!
We have eaten there 3 times and I was in aw. We now call this our favorite place to eat. The owner and his fabulous staff are the best.
Fantastic food, excellent service, and the best margarita I've ever had! Been 4 times now, the Voodoo Biriyani, jambalaya, and the creamy chicken and shrimp linguini were all amazing. 10/10 would recommend!
More of a quick bite place than a "sit down for a long time" restaurant. Menu edges toward Cajun. Quite creative with unique dishes. Eating outside can be loud as you're within a couple of feet of a busy of the carretera (highway). Definitely a good choice for a quick bite.
I have been to Gossips now three times since arriving from the States, last June. The food and staff are WONDERFUL. Eating outside is still my preference regardless of being so close to the road. For me, it has a welcoming atmosphere:)
