W Punta de Mita

Incredibly surprised about the Rave reviews here. The resort is tacky at best. The decor has poor taste that offensively pokes fun at the beautiful culture of Mexico (photos attached). The fitness facility is an inconvenient quarter of a mile away from our room and is tiny with just two elliptically that were taken until I finally decided to stop waiting for them after 45 minutes. The hot tub is just the one you buy in the store and they just placed it by the pool. The hotel is situated on the beach but 75% of the rooms were incredibly far from the beach and had no beach views. I have stayed at over 15 W hotels and this one is by far the worst. They just did it all wrong.

Great place, enjoyed the very friendly and attentative staff! We had a room with ocean and lake view that was well decorated and well maintained. Would definitely recommend when in the area!

Excellent customer service. Amazing breakfast! Really fun hotel to enjoy your vacation. The beach was a lot of fun and you can surf or boogey board.

They have the main pool where a DJ will play from time to time. There’s a more “private” pool with glass to see the beach just in front of you.

Excellent and attentive service. Polite staff who cater to your every need. Always greeted with a lovely smile and welcoming words. My partner got a special dessert treat because of his loyalty program, and we got chocolate covered strawberries in our room congratulating us on our recent engagement which are both lovely touches. Room was interestingly decorated, certainly we got the sense that this hotel is geared toward a more young demographic. Overall the design and decoration of the hotel and it's restaurants are vibrant and eye catching. Beautiful beach front. Breakfast is exceptional with plenty of options. My one exception would be the restaurant - Spice Market. Food was alright, not the best/most flavourful I've had during our trip to Mexico. The coconut cake and Pandan ice cream dessert was great.

Always been a big fan of the w chain and this one was no exception great service great location just wish they had the hot tub working.

The hotel is beautiful and staff were great. However, I gave 3 stars due to.
- we had children and I travel with Marriott internationally and called the customer service and actual hotel and both said our 3 children could be in one room with 2 adults. When we got there they would not allow it. We had to get a separate bungalow and pay for kids. I would of went somewhere else if I would of known.
- last day before leaving to PV Westin in city we only ate at the hotel and all shared calamari. We ended up sick that night with food poison and ruined our remains days. It was horrible and staff did not care. For a luxury hotel I would not expect this.
I might have to rethink my brand loyalty as it ruined our trip and wasted our money.

Este lugar es lo mejor y la verdad que me enamore de una chica especial y trabaja en este lugar no me animé a decirle pero quiero volver y decirle todo esto que siento! Es súper Hermosa la mejor

This hotel is perfect. The ocean view rooms were stunning. The hotel and pool is right on an amazing beach. The staff was incredible. We were having such a nice time that we extended our trip another day. The food at the restaurant, Spice Market, was top notch.

Disappointing. Would not return and couldn't wait to leave after a 3 night stay.

Cons:

- No ATM on property. Front desk is unable to give change for as little as 200 pesos ($10 US).
- Isolated. No Uber/Taxi Service, only the overpriced hotel SUV service. One way to Bucerias is $45.
- Limited food options
- 10% Service Charge
- No status upgrade offered even though hotel was only at 17% occupancy
- Reading time on the balcony was disrupted when a white mist (pesticide) floated up while a crew was working below. No prior warning given.
- No convenience/snack store on the property
- Hotel didn’t reach out before stay to offer transportation/reservation assistance
- Never saw a manager
- Poor lighting when walking to room after dark. Need a flashlight.

Un hotel divertido en una locacion escepcional.

El staff siempre es super amable y atento, todos te tratan con cortesia.

El ceviche en Chevy que esta en la playa es delicioso, el cocinero te lo prepara al momento.

La alberca super agradable y con el DJ tocando todo el dia. Solo falta que le pongan unas bocinas de mas calidad porque el sonido no es el mejor.

La playa sin duda se lleva las palmas, es preciosa y a los surfers les encanta estar ahi asi que tuvimos show mientras estabamos recostados en loa camastros.

La cena en el rest Spice Market no es woow pero igual te lo pasas bien porque los drinks y el DJ estan de lujo. Pide margarita con jengibre!

We had our wedding at The W in Punta Mita and could not recommend this hotel enough. Our wedding planners, Rosa and Luis were amazing. The hotel itself is so beautiful, we needed to add minimal flowers and decorations as it was already so breathtaking. By far the best attribute of this hotel is the staff there. They spoiled us and our guests for over a week. The kindness shown by everyone who works there and the level of service was unlike anywhere we’ve ever been, all of our guest continued to say that this was one of the nicest hotels they have ever been to and the staff really made it special. Thank you to The W staff, you made this very special moment in our lives perfection!

Un lugar super yuppie, muy bonito, junto al mar, excelente arquitectura e increíbles mosaicos! En el corazón de Punta Mita

La ubicación está buena ya que es un lugar para disfrutar de una estadía sensacional y muy tranquila, el número de habitantaciones es justo para permanecer con esa tranquilidad y muy lindos los espacios del hotel

Increíble lugar para vacacionar.

Instalaciones de primera; todo el concepto del lugar está pensado hasta el mínimo detalle. La alberca y camastros te invitan a dejar que pase el tiempo totalmente desconectado de todo.

Comida excelente y variada. Restaurante Thai totalmente recomendado para cenar en grupo y pasar un rato muy agradable.

Lo mejor: La atención al cliente es destacable; el personal siempre atento y amable.

Sí bien el precio (que varía entre los $200 - $300 dólares la noche por habitación) puede parecer un tanto alto, lo vale totalmente.

Sin duda un lugar al cual volvería.

Espectacular hotel para estancias vacacionales. El precio de los restaurantes es demasiado alto incluso para el W. Ejemplo; café americano tamaño chico, 90 pesos.

The staff was really friendly, the hotel is amazing, but we didn't have hot water at one point in our bathroom, the solution of "keep the tab open for 10 min didn't work"
